Snellgrove's Restaurant in downtown Plant City offers a straightforward, Americana-style breakfast and lunch experience within a setting that feels comfortably familiar. Located on South Collins Street, this family-run spot fits neatly into the small-town rhythm with a dining room that’s approachable rather than fancy – think classic diner booths, friendly greetings from staff who know many regulars by name, and the kind of atmosphere where neighbors catch up over coffee and plates of hearty food.

What you’ll find here leans heavily on Southern and traditional American comfort dishes. The menu highlights include staples like Country Fried Steak with gravy, a Southern Omelet, and a Breakfast Cuban—meals that suit those looking for filling, no-nonsense breakfast or lunch options. There’s also a variety of sandwiches served with fries, such as the BLT and Turkey Club combos, making it a reliable choice if you’re seeking familiar flavors made with a homestyle touch.

People who frequent Snellgrove’s tend to be locals or visitors passing through downtown Plant City who appreciate a slower-paced, home-cooked meal. Those stopping by are often working nearby or taking a break from exploring the historic core, valuing the friendly service and quick turnaround. Morning or midday feels like the best time to visit when the breakfast offerings and coffee pair well with casual conversation or a laid-back solo meal.

The restaurant’s atmosphere doesn’t strive for trendiness or flair but settles into an honest, welcoming space where the focus is on comfort food and approachable dining. While some diners find the prices a bit higher given portion sizes or occasional premade quality in some dishes, the overall experience is grounded in a hometown cafe vibe with genuine interactions and dependable flavors.

For visitors looking for a spot to fuel up before heading to local events or residents wanting an easy place for breakfast or lunch, Snellgrove’s fits that niche well. If you enjoy classic Southern and American fare in a modest, friendly environment, this is the kind of place where the familiar goes a long way in making you feel settled within Plant City’s community fabric.

Since I work out of Plant City and most often downtown I find myself at Snellgrove’s often. Super friendly staff, great food, and great mimosas! Good price too. If you like family owned restaurants this is one to try!

Honestly pretty good, was in the area to drive my friend to an appointment. Had just woken up little hungry mostly searching for coffee. The food was homely and delicious. And the atmosphere was welcoming. Will be returning when in the area. This was one of the kindest meals I have had in a long time.

Beautiful, historic downtown Plant City location! Stopped in for a quick lunch with my Dad... We both ordered the BLT Special with Fries. Our sandwiches were perfect, and their Fries were sooo yummy too!! Home Cooking, absolutely. Very reasonably priced, as our tab with 2 drinks was just over $20. Will definitely be back!

While exploring Plant City, I initially intended to dine at a different location, only to find it unexpectedly closed. In search of an alternative, I stumbled upon Snellgroves, and I’m delighted I did. This charming little diner exceeded my expectations with its surprisingly delightful dishes at very reasonable prices. The service was impressively quick, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning to Snellgroves and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty meal!

Nice little diner/cafe. Service was good. The food is a little over priced for what you get. A lot of what we got seemed like it was from a box or premade. The Mac and cheese was overcooked and bland. What little taste was like generic boxed. The Country Fried Steak had a weird taste. Catfish was good, as well as the Fried Okra. With tip we paid over $36 for 2 people. That was one breakfast and one dinner.

Food was good. Service was fast and friendly. The server (Lady with tattoos and Snoopy shirt) is certainly an asset to this restaurant. She was upbeat and personable. Attentive without hovering and knew what I needed before I asked. She greeted everyone as they came in and wished them well as they left. It was refreshing to be around someone who was working and not complaining or acting as if they hated their job and hated me for making them work. The food was very good. I had the BLT and fries, today’s dining companion had a veggie omelette, grits and English muffin. Everything was cooked as ordered and tasty.
